Colorless rhombic crystal or white powder. Dissolve in thin nitric acid, acetic acid and sodium hydroxide solution, does not dissolve in water and alcohol. Gradually lose carbon dioxide to change into the alkali salt when boil with water. Relative density: 6.6.
