Application:
Widely utilized as viscosifier in oilfield drilling, workover and completion fluids.
In oil drilling, xanthan gum can thicken drilling mud to carry the solids cut by the drilling bit back to the surface and provides great "low end" rheology to l remain suspended solids in the drilling fluid when the circulation stops. The widespread use of horizontal drilling and the demand for good control of drilled solids has led to its expanded use. It has also been added to concrete poured underwater, to increase its viscosity and prevent washout.
Packing Storage:
Packing in 25kg net multi-ply paper bags, carton box or cardboard drums with plastic lining. Should be stored in a cool, dry place.
