Slightly soluble in water, dissolves in alcohol and the ammonium chloride watery solution, does not dissolve in acetone, decomposes in boiling water. Dehydration in 100 .In 401-450 can dissociate to strontium oxide and oxygen. Forming hydrogen peroxide when react with acids.

Application:

As the raw material of producing metal strontium by using its capability of decomposes to oxide compound in nitrogen.
